China's Suzhou signs 56 bln USD deals with int'l companies

NANJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Local companies in the eastern Chinese city of Suzhou on Monday signed deals totaling nearly 400 billion yuan (about 56 billion U.S. dollars) with giant international enterprises including Microsoft Corp., Adidas and Roche Diagnostics.

The deals were signed at the Suzhou Online Dialogue on Global Industrial Chains Collaboration.

The event also released an industrial chain infographic guide for global investors, aiming to promote collaboration among different industrial chains.

The guide covers industrial chains of biomedicines, intelligent equipment, new display technology and devices, automobile and parts, software and integrated circuit. With the guide, related enterprises can release their supply and demand information and seek business partners.

Suzhou boasts about 160,000 industrial enterprises, among which over 400 are run by the Fortune Global 500 companies. The city traded with more than 200 countries and regions in 2019, with the foreign trade reaching 319 billion U.S. dollars.
