Various measures taken in Dongcheng District of Beijing to help residents better engage in garbage sorting

A child puts plastic bottles into the intelligent garbage bin of blue color at the Shaojiu residential community in Dongcheng District of Beijing, capital of China, May 17, 2020. The Shaojiu community on Sunday started a fine management project of household waste. Various measures including installing intelligent garbage bins and providing garbage bags imprinted traceable and different QR codes to households were taken to help residents better engage in garbage sorting. On May 1, Beijing started to carry out mandatory garbage sorting in new efforts to protect the environment. (Xinhua/Ju Huanzong)
