China's GDP per capita hits new record in 2019

According to the Statistical Communiqué of the People's Republic of China on the 2019 National Economic and Social Development issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, the country’s GDP per capita was 70,892 yuan (US$10,276) last year, which was a 5.7 percent increas eyear on year. It is the first time that the figure has been more than US$10,000.
