Approximately 6.01bln domestic tourists travel in China in 2019

According to the Statistical Communiqué of the People's Republic of China on the 2019 National Economic and Social Development issued by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, approximately 6.01 billion domestic tourists traveled in the country in 2019, or 8.4 percent more than in 2018, and the sector generated 5.73 trillion yuan (US$808.63 billion) of revenue, an 11.7 percent increase year on year.
