China's GDP grows 6.1 pct in 2019, approaches 100 trln yuan

 The National Bureau of Statistics of China has indicated that the nation’s GDP for 2019 approached 100 trillion yuan (US$14.4 trillion) and that GDP per capita was more than US$10,000. The country achieved 6.1 percent of GDP growth year-on-year, which was first among nations with GDPs of over US$1 trillion and well above the rate of global GDP growth. China is one of the main drivers of global economic growth and accounted for about 30 percent of the figure last year.
