Lhasa has high air quality in 2019

Xinhua,January 15, 2020 Adjust font size:

Air quality remained high in Lhasa, capital of Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, in 2019, authorities said.

Days with good air quality made up 99.7 percent of all the days in the regional capital last year, according to the 5th session of the 11th people's congress of Lhasa city.

The water was up to standard in all major rivers and lakes and in four drinking water sources in Lhasa.

Authorities planted 4,733 hectares of forests and closed 4,133 hectares of hillsides for afforestation in 2019.

Authorities plan to take more measures to continue to improve the environment, including planting more trees and using more new energy public vehicles.
