High-end intelligent products on display at NE China expo

A batch of high-end intelligent products were on display at an international equipment manufacturing exposition which opened Sunday in northeast China.

Nearly 1,000 enterprises from both home and abroad attended the five-day expo in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province. The event is themed intelligent manufacturing and the revitalization of the northeastern China region.

The event has a total exhibition area of 110,000 square meters and 4,260 booths, of which about one third are for overseas companies from 17 countries and regions such as the United States, Germany and France.

Xu Shutian, general manager of a robot company based in Shenyang, introduced his product to visitors. "The robot has 17 joints and is able to do most things a human can."

During the exhibition, organizers will hold a docking meeting for Belt and Road purchasers and seminars on industrial innovation and financing.

China's northeastern region, an old industrial base which covers Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces, is aiming to regain its past luster with further opening-up and reform.
