Regulation on administrative decision-making procedure takes effect

Xinhua,September 02, 2019 Adjust font size:

A provisional regulation to improve the procedure for making major administrative decisions went into effect Sunday.

The regulation, issued by the State Council, aims to further increase the quality and efficiency of administrative decision-making, said an official statement.

The document clarified what administrative decisions should be considered major ones and what procedures should be followed.

All major decisions must receive a legal review, be discussed and adopted by the whole leadership of the administrative body concerned, according to the regulation.

Procedures for altering such administrative decisions and the system of accountability for serious mistakes or delays in the decision-making process were also included in the document.
