Beijing to host int'l cultural, creative industry expo

Over 700 companies from across the world will take part in the upcoming 14th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE), the organizers said Thursday.

A series of activities will be carried out during the expo, such as exhibitions, promotions and transactions, forums and meetings.

Besides Chinese participants, delegations, embassies and associations from over 80 countries and regions including the United States, France, Britain and Italy have confirmed their participation.

Lin Bin, deputy director of the organizing committee of the ICCIE, said that the expo would present the latest trends of the integrated development of the cultural industry, and aims to promote the integration of culture with science and technology, tourism, sports and financial sectors.

The ICCIE, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and the municipal government of Beijing, will last from May 29 to June 1.
