Senior official meets delegation of HK disciplinary forces

Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng on Monday met with a cultural delegation of Hong Kong disciplinary forces.

Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met the delegation led by Lee Ka Chiu, secretary for security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, at the Great Hall of the People.

Praising the work of Hong Kong disciplinary forces, Han expressed hope that they would fully implement the policy of "one country, two systems", safeguard national security and the rule of law in Hong Kong, provide sound service to the Hong Kong people as well as promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland.

Lee said the disciplinary forces would continue to fulfill their duty in accordance with law and make more contributions to safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and maintaining lasting prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.

The delegation visited the mainland to mark the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up.
