Exhibition highlights Taiwan's door, window culture

Xinhua,July 23, 2018 Adjust font size:

An ongoing exhibition is focusing on the window and door culture in Taiwan.

The "Your View, My Home" exhibition, which includes hundreds of exhibits, brings the island's traditional doors, door deity images, windows, as well as videos documenting the making of these items to the public eye.

According to the organizer, the exhibition "tracks through streets big and small on a journey into the beauty of Taiwanese windows and doors."

"I think the plain-looking windows and doors truly carry exquisite Taiwan craftsmanship," said Chen Kuo-Tzu, creator of the museum where the exhibition is being held. "These items reflect human relations and people's habits of the past decades."

The show will last until January 6, before moving to Tainan City for a two-month exhibition.
