China's top political advisor meets Montenegro's parliament speaker

  BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Yang met with Ivan Brajovic, speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, on Wednesday.

  Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said China and Montenegro had carried out exchanges and cooperation under the guidance of mutual respect and trust, equality, mutual benefit and win-win results, making positive contribution to the world peace and development.

"At present, the two countries have frequent high-level visits, solid political mutual trust, and continuously enhanced communication and cooperation in various fields, and bilateral ties have entered a new stage of rapid development," Wang said.

  Wang said China was willing to work with Montenegro to link their development strategies and deepen cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative to promote bilateral ties.

  He said the CPPCC was ready to have more friendly exchanges and cooperation with the parliament of Montenegro to contribute to the development of bilateral ties.

  Brajovic said Montenegro paid high attention to its ties with China and the parliament of Montenegro was willing to cooperate more with China, support pragmatic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and the 16+1 cooperation framework to promote Montenegro-China ties, as well as Europe-China relations.
