MADRID, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Spain's Socialist leader Pedro Sanchez will become the country's prime minister following Friday's non-confidence vote that ousted incumbent Mariano Rajoy of the conservative Popular Party.

Sanchez won the vote, which took place at the Spanish Congress of Deputies, by 180 votes. In the 350-seat lower house, 169 lawmakers voted against the motion and one abstained. Enditem
