Dollar changes hands in upper 108 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 108 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.77-78 yen compared with 108.76-86 yen in New York and 108.76-77 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1692-1692 dollars and 127.19-20 yen against 1.1687-1697 dollars and 127.25-35 yen in New York and 1.1711-1712 dollars and 127.37-41 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
