Spanish shares drop 1.05 pct Thursday

MADRID, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares dropped on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 1.05 percent or 100.70 points to 9,465.50 points.

A total of 25 of the 35 large companies lost in the day.

Spain's fifth largest bank Banco Sabadell fell 3.49 percent, followed by supermarket chain DIA and Spain's third-largest bank Caixabank that lost 2.71 percent and 2.55 percent respectively.

Stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox advanced 1.01 percent, the top gainer of the day. Inmobiliaria Colonial rose 0.66 percent and technology solutions provider Amadeus went up 0.65 percent. Enditem
