BUDAPEST -- Two men died in an electric plane that crashed Thursday morning near Pecs in southern Hungary, according to official sources.

LUSAKA -- The Zambian government on Thursday granted temporal residents permits to about 1,468 former Rwandan refugees, marking the beginning of a process that will lead to local integration of some 4,000 Rwandan former refugees.

The former Rwandan refugees were given the temporal resident permits during a ceremony held at Meheba Refugee Settlement in northwestern Zambia attended by officials from the Zambian government and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), according to a statement. COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's health officials on Thursday said 14 children had died from a viral fever which was spreading in southern Sri Lanka and urged the public to take safety health measures to prevent its spread.

Director of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in southern Sri Lanka, Dr. Jayampathi Senanayake told Xinhua that out of the 14 deaths, 13 were reported in Karapitiya while one was reported in Colombo. (Sri Lanka-Viral Flu-Children)

TIKRIT, Iraq -- Two paramilitary Hashd Shaabi members were killed and three others wounded Thursday in a bomb attack in Iraq's central province of Salahudin, a provincial police source said.

Early in the morning, a roadside bomb went off near a Hashd Shaabi patrol on a main road near the town of Tuz-Khurmato, some 90 km east of the provincial capital Tikrit, destroying a military vehicle along with killing two paramilitary fighters and wounding three aboard, Captain Ahmed al-Obeidi told Xinhua. YANGON -- At least five people have been killed and 1,400 houses destroyed as strong cyclone storm swept across Myanmar over the last two days, the local 7Day Daily reported Thursday.

Of them, one people was knocked to death by fallen trees, two by electric shock in Manaung township and other two people died in vessel capsizal in Bokale township on Tuesday. (Myanmar-Cyclone-Death) Enditem
