Setback for France in 2018 Toulon Tournament

SALON, France, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Hosts France suffered a setback from Scotland on Wednesday with 0-1 loss at the 2018 Toulon Tournament.

France had high hopes for this year's tournament, a traditional men's soccer tournament for players under 21 years old.

French striker Wilfried Kanga said that the side's aim is to "win the tournament", after its 4-1 triumph over South Korea on Sunday.

But Scotland, which finished third in last year's edition, showed discipline and great concentration throughout the match.

After a right-footed shot from the right side of the box to the bottom left corner of the French net in the 33rd minute, the Scottish withstood prods from the home team.

In the other match of the day, debutants Togo, the only African representative, edged South Korea 2-1. Togo held Scotland to a tie in their first match. Enditem
