TEHRAN -- Strong wind, coupled with thick dust and rain, swept across Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday evening, halting flights in Imam Khomeini Airport and Mehrabad Airport.

CAIRO -- The Cairo-based Arab League (AL) on Wednesday condemned the recent Israeli approval of building thousands of new settlements in Jerusalem.
"This constant aggression on the Palestinian people is violation of all resolutions of international legitimacy and all the signed laws, treaties and agreements," Saeed Abu Ali, AL assistant secretary general for the occupied Palestinian and Arab lands, said in a statement. ANKARA -- Turkey and the United States are expected to agree on a roadmap for Syria's Manbij when they meet in Washington next week.

GAZA -- A Palestinian died Wednesday of wounds he suffered during last Friday's anti-Israel protests, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
