French shares drop 0.20 pct Wednesday

PARIS, May 30 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.20 percent, or 10.70 points, to close at 5,427.35 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 18 lost in the day.

French multinational mass media conglomerate Vivendi tumbled 3.64 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French bank Credit Agricole was down 1.29 percent and business consulting corporation Capgemini lost 0.92 percent.

Technipfmc, global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services advanced 2.28 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Commercial property investor Unibail-Rodamco rose 1.92 percent and French multinational integrated oil and gas company Total was up 1.74 percent. Enditem
