ABUJA -- At least 20 people were burned to death following a road accident in Nigeria's southwestern state of Ondo, according to local media and officials on Wednesday.

The victims, among whom are passengers of a 14-seater Toyota bus and a Range Rover Sports Utility Vehicle, were burned beyond recognition on Tuesday, Nigeria's The Guardian Newspaper reported. (Nigeria-Road Accident)

ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistani army said on Wednesday that a roadside bomb killed at least two soldiers while three others were injured in North Waziristan region.

ADDIS ABABA -- A car accident in Ethiopia's northern Amhara regional state has left 18 people dead, a regional government office said on Wednesday.

In a press statement, Mecha Communications Office, North Shoa zone, Amhara regional state, said the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon in Mecha city when a passenger minibus carrying religious pilgrims travelling on the road collided with a bus leaving 18 dead and eight others injured, reported state affiliated media outlet Radio Fana. KABUL -- At least one policeman and 10 assailants were killed in an attack on the compound of the Afghan Interior Ministry on Wednesday, a ministry's spokesman said.

"The initial intel found that one police personnel and 10 assailants were killed after gunmen launched a coordinated attack on the interior ministry's main office at around noon local time," spokesman Najib Danish told local Tolo News TV. (Afghanistan-Attack) Enditem
