SHANGHAI, May 30 (Xinhua)-- The British Sectors Center for Excellence (BSCE) will establish eight skills training centers with municipal governments, institutions, and enterprises across China, it announced in Shanghai on Tuesday.
The BSCE is a new initiative that is the result of collaboration between the National Skills Academy for Rail, UK Skills Federation and the Chinese government.
The centers will offer technical and vocational education based on the UK's graduate level apprenticeship standards to meet China's growing demand for talent, according to the agreement.
Each center will cultivate 3,000 skilled workers within three years in the areas of civil engineering, design, tourism, logistics, and education.
Nusrat Ghani, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, said that both countries are determined to help each other by sharing expertise and best practice and learning from this partner hip.
"Together, China and the UK will make great partners. There's so much we can learn from each other," she said. Enditem
