Morocco, Mozambique explore ways to cooperate in energy sector

RABAT, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development Aziz Rebbah and Mozambique's Deputy Minister of Mineral Ressources and Energy Sousa Fernando discussed here on Wednesday means to develop cooperation in energy sector.

During meeting between the two sides, they agreed to elaborate a memorandum of understanding to lay the ground for future cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy and mines.

Fernando expressed his country's willingness to benefit from Morocco's rich experience in the area of energy, particularly renewable energy.

For his part, Rabbah said his country is keen to further strengthen ties with African nations in all domains, including in the energy sector where many countries in the continent are lagging behind in terms of electrification. Enditem
