Dollar drops below 110 yen line on geopolitical concerns

TOKYO, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar dropped below the 110 yen line Wednesday in Tokyo.

At 5:00 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 109.99-110.01 yen compared with 110.84-94 yen in New York and 111.07-09 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. It moved between 109.93 yen and 110.88 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1711-1712 dollars and 128.81-85 yen against 1.1772-1782 dollars and 130.63-73 yen in New York and 1.1817-1818 dollars and 131.25-29 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Enditem
