Prince Harry, Meghan Markle attend first royal event as married couple

LONDON, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on Tuesday attended their first royal event as a married couple.

They took part in a Buckingham Palace garden party as part of Prince Charles' 70th birthday celebrations.

Prince Harry paid a moving tribute to his father for his charitable work over more than four decades.

During the speech a bee buzzed close to the duke and he fluffed his lines and quipped "that bee really got me."

This is their first royal duty as husband and wife after they were married in a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday.

Also present were more than 6,000 people who have been involved in charity affairs supported by Prince Charles. Enditem
