Chinese police launch campaign against drunk, drugged driving

Xinhua,May 23, 2018 Adjust font size:

BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The traffic management bureau of China's Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has launched a campaign against drunk and drugged driving at night, involving public security organs across the country.

The campaign is carried out because of frequent traffic accidents due to drunk driving, and increased risks of such accidents, as people stay out at night in the summer heat, and the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The MPS has asked local traffic management departments to pay extra attention to streets adjacent to major catering and entertainment venues and areas where cases of alcohol and drug abuse are common. Enditem
