Japan logs goods trade surplus of 5.6 bln USD in April

TOKYO, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Japan logged a goods trade surplus of 626.0 billion yen (5.6 billion U.S. dollars) in April, the government said in a report on Monday.

According to the Finance Ministry here, on a customs-cleared basis, exports increased 7.8 percent from a year earlier.

Imports in the recording period, meanwhile, increased 5.9 percent, the ministry said in a preliminary report. Enditem
