SANTIAGO, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Chile and Romania will meet in an international friendly this month as both teams seek competition after failing to qualify for the World Cup .
The match will be played in the southern Austrian city of Hartberg on May 31, the Chilean football federation (ANFP) said on Thursday.
Chile will then confront Serbia on June 4 and Poland on June 8 in fixtures previously announced by ANFP.
Roja coach Reinaldo Rueda has said that he will use the friendlies to test new players with an eye on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Rueda was appointed Chile's head coach in January, replacing Juan Antonio Pizzi, who departed after the team missed out on a place in this year's World Cup.
Romania will also watch the action in Russia from afar after winning just three of their 10 European zone qualifiers. Enditem
