Man accused in Toronto van attack to appear in court

TORONTO, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The man accused of killing 10 people and injuring 15 others by plowing a van onto a sidewalk in Toronto last month is set to appear in court Thursday, Toronto police said.

Eight women and two men died after Alek Minassian, 25, allegedly rammed a rental van on a busy sidewalk on April 23.

Minassian has been charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and 13 counts of attempted murder. Enditem
