BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.48 percent to close at 3,174.41.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.38 percent higher at 10,729.77.

Combined turnover on the two bourses stood at 412.6 billion yuan (about 64.7 billion U.S. dollars), up from 382.6 billion yuan the previous trading day.

Stocks related to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area led the gains. Bucking the trend, integrated circuit and software producers fell.

The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style enterprises, gained 0.51 percent to close at 1,865.36. Enditem
