Dollar climbs to around 110 yen on higher U.S. Treasury yields

TOKYO, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar climbed to around the 110 yen line Thursday in Tokyo amid the rise in 10-year U.S. bond yield overnight.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 109.93-95 yen compared with 109.70-80 yen in New York and 109.71-72 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. It moved between 109.64 yen and 110.02 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1859-1860 dollars and 130.37-41 yen against 1.1846-1856 dollars and 129.99-130.09 yen in New York and 1.1838-1839 dollars and 129.88-92 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Enditem
