Chinese shares close higher at midday Thursday

BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.19 percent to end at 3,165.11 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.06 percent to end at 10,695.54
