Slavia win Bulgaria Cup of football

SOFIA, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The Slavia Sofia won its eighth Cup of Bulgaria here on Wednesday, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League for 2018/2019 season.

In the final, Slavia Sofia beat Levski Sofia 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw in the regular and extra time.

The 42-year-old goalkeeper Georgi Petkov was the hero Slavia this evening. He saved three penalties, including one in the 12th minute, and the other two after the 120th minute.

Since the establishment in 1913, Slavia have also won the domestic top-flight league title for eight times. Enditem
