Tunisia trade deficit narrows in Jan-April

Xinhua,May 10, 2018 Adjust font size:

TUNIS, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The deficit of Tunisian trade balance reached 5,085.4 million dinars (2034.16 million U.S. dollars) in Jan-April 2018, seeing decrease year on year, National Institute of Statistics reported Wednesday.

The trade deficit recorded 2060.56 million dollars in the same period last year, as the cutback can be explained by a certain imbalance in trade with partners, including China, with a deficit of 600 million dollars, Italy 391.48 million dollars, Turkey 299.88 million dinars, and Russia with a deficit of 166.4 million dollars.

On the other hand, Tunisia's trade is in surplus with countries such as France, Libya and Morocco, with respective envelopes of 520 million dollars, 115.28 million dollars and 67.32 million dollars. Enditem
