CBOT wheat lower ahead of monthly crop report

CHICAGO, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat was lower on Wednesday morning as traders were paring their market risk ahead of a key crop report.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will release its monthly crop supply and demand report on Thursday and CBOT wheat futures went down ahead of the report amid slightly improved crop ratings.

The U.S. winter wheat crop was rated 34 percent good or excellent recently, up 1 percentage point from the end of last month.

As of 1455 GMT, July wheat was down 6.25 cents at 5.0825 U.S. dollars per bushel while July corn was down 0.25 cent at 4.03 dollar and July soybeans were down 3.25 cents at 10.17 dollars per bushel. Enditem
