Hangzhou to hold 2nd International Tea Expo

HANGZHOU, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The second International Tea Expo will be held from May 18 to 22 in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, the organizer said Wednesday.

The exhibition area will be 70,000 square meters, twice the size of the first expo, and there will be a total of 2,654 booths for exhibitors, said Lin Jiandong, director of the provincial agricultural bureau.

The expo will include an exhibition hall, a Chinese tea hall, an International tea hall and an innovation hall. The exhibition hall will be 8,300 square meters, displaying China's tea stories.

Turkey and Sri Lanka are the two guests of honor. Multiple cultural exchange events will be held during the expo.

China is the largest tea producer as well as the largest tea market in the world.

The expo is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Zhejiang Government. Enditem
