SW China authorities bust three drug trafficking cases

KUNMING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in southwest China's Yunnan Province have busted three drug trafficking cases, arresting four suspects.

On May 4, police in Puer City seized 34.25 kg of methamphetamine worth 260,000 yuan (about 40,700 U.S. dollars), catching one suspect who hid the drugs in an SUV.

On May 1, two suspects were arrested and 9.67 kg of methamphetamine were seized by customs officers in Kunming City, capital of Yunnan.

Kunming customs on April 30 seized 6.54 kg of drugs from a coach travelling from Laos to Kunming, and detained one suspect.
