HONG KONG, May 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted 177 km SSW of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea at 07:57:55 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.8916 degrees south latitude and 151.7962 degrees east longitude. Enditem
