Nigeria gathers 35 players ahead of FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in France

LAGOS, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday named 35 players for the first phase preparations for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup finals in France.

NFF Spokesperson Ademola Olajire announced it in a statement reaching Xinhua.

The 9th FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup finals will take place in five cities in France from Aug. 5-24.

Nigeria have been drawn in Group D alongside Haiti, China and Germany.

Nigeria had been runners-up of the 2010 and 2014 editions of the tournament, losing both finals to Germany narrowly. Enditem
