Spanish stock market gains 0.27 pct Tuesday

MADRID, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Tuesday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.27 percent or 27.20 points to 10,168.10 points.

A total of 18 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Airline group IAG advanced 3.80 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols was up 2.97 percent and Spain's fifth largest bank Banco Sabadell went up 1.61 percent.

Electricity supplier R.E.C. lost 0.80 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Spain's energy company Repsol was down 0.71 percent and gas natural infrastructure company Enagas went down 0.66 percent. Enditem
