Spanish shares gain 0.36 pct Monday

MADRID, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.36 percent or 36.80 points to 10,140.90 points.

A total of 27 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa advanced 2.38 percent, the top gainer of the day. Real estate company Inmobiliaria Colonial was up 1.86 percent and casing company Viscofan rose 1.70 percent.

Spain's fourth largest bank Bankia lost 0.56 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Insurance company Mapfre was down 0.52 percent and hotel chain Melia Hotels went down 0.48 percent. Enditem
