CBOT futures lower over U.S.-China trade dispute

CHICAGO, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybeans and grains were lower on Monday morning amid concerns over the ongoing trade dispute between the United States and China.
As of 1456 GMT, July corn was down 5.5 cents at 4.0075 U.S. dollars per bushel while July wheat was down 13.75 cents at 5.125 dollars and July soybeans down 18 cents at 10.1875 dollars per bushel.
CBOT futures, especially soybeans, have slid sharply as news reports indicated very limited progress was made during a high-level meeting between the two sides in Beijing last week.
Concerns are growing among CBOT traders that the dispute between the United Stats and China will continue.
Additional pressure came from mostly favorable U.S. weather, said observers. Enditem
