BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Air Force on Sunday carried out an airstrike on a position of the Islamic State (IS) militants inside Syria near the border with Iraq, the Iraqi government said.

A brief statement, issued by the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, said "the heroes of the Iraqi air force carried out painful airstrike against a position for leaders of the terrorist Daesh (IS group) in al-Deshisha area inside Syria." (Iraq-IS-Syria)

DUBAI -- Local media in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been caught in financial crisis because advertisers have turned to new media such as Facebook and Google, UAE's biggest newspaper Gulf News said Sunday.

TEHRAN -- If the United States pulls out of the nuclear deal, it will be a "historical regret" for them, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said here on Sunday.

TUNIS -- A Tunisia's leading statistical and polling institute said on Sunday evening that early results showed the Islamist party Ennahda (Renaissance) won the municipal elections with a 27.5 percent of votes.
