LONDON -- Britain's famous Kew Gardens Saturday reopened its spectacular Temperate House, the world's largest Victorian glasshouse after completing the largest restoration project in its entire history, costing more than 55 million U.S. dollars.

Reopening the doors of the vast glasshouse revealed 10,000 breath-taking plants, making the magnificent structure a true jewel in Kew's crown, described as an architectural wonder and a haven for horticulturists. (Britain-Glasshouse)

PHNOM PENH -- The death toll from drinking contaminated water in eastern Cambodia's Kratie province has risen to 10, as 121 others were hospitalized, Om Phy, deputy police chief of Kratie province, said Sunday.

"Four more victims were confirmed dead at the Kratie Provincial Hospital and the Phnom Penh's Calmette Hospital today, bringing the number of the dead to 10, as the number of villagers hospitalized has reached 121," he told Xinhua, adding that the dead were four men and six women. MAIMANA, Afghanistan -- Seven civilians lost their lives and another sustained injuries as a roadside bomb struck their car outside Maimana, capital of north Afghanistan's Faryab province Sunday, a local police spokesman said.

"An eight-member group of daily wagers were going to a work site from Maimana to Almar district today morning, but unfortunately a mine planted by militants on a road struck their car, killing seven innocent laborers on the spot and injuring another," Abdul Karim Yurash told Xinhua. BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Air Force on Sunday carried out an airstrike on a position of the Islamic State (IS) militants inside Syria near the border with Iraq, the Iraqi government said.

A brief statement, issued by the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, said "the heroes of the Iraqi air force carried out painful airstrike against a position for leaders of the terrorist Daesh (IS group) in al-Deshisha area inside Syria." (Iraq-Airstrike) Enditem
