NEW DELHI, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Four persons, including two kids, died in two separate incidents of fire in Delhi late on Friday night.

According to a local fire official, the first incident was reported from west Delhi's Adarash Nagar area when fire broke out at around 22:00 local time last night. The fire broke out due to a short circuit in an air conditioner.

The two kids who were reportedly sleeping were alone at home at the time of incident as their parents were away to attend a wedding.

The fire broke out at the first floor of a three-storey building and soon engulfed the second floor too. As many as 10 fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames. The fire fighters took more than four hours to extinguish the fire.

The second incident happened in south Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area, where two people died in a fire at a tent store. This incident reportedly occurred at around 2:00 local time on Saturday.

Cause of fire was short circuit, said a fire department official. Enditem
