Plastic bags to be offered only through payment in Albania

TIRANA, May 4 (Xinhua) -- All plastic bags in stores and supermarkets in Albania will be offered only through payment, Albanian Council of Ministers (ACM) decided on Friday.
The new decision issued by the ACM makes it compulsory to pay for plastic bags. Before the decision, it was only optional and implemented by several supermarket chains in Albania.
The decision has come into effect on Friday. Enditem
