Spanish shares drop 0.50 pct Thursday

MADRID, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.50 percent or 50.10 points to 10,038.80 points.

A total of 19 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Consultancy and technology company Indra A lost 3.79 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Spanish bank Bankia went down 2.82 percent and Spain's third-largest bank Caixabank was down 2.11 percent.

Chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols advanced 2.46 percent, the top gainer of the day. Technology solutions provider Amadeus rose 1.21 percent and telecommunication company Cellnex was up 0.94 percent. Enditem
