German shares lose 0.88 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, May 3 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 112.10 points, or 0.88 percent, to close at 12,690.15 points.

German maker of sportswear and equipment Adidas lost the most among the blue chips, down by 6.54 percent, followed by renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and housing association Vonovia, which lost 2.94 percent and 2.91 percent respectively.

Personal-care company Beiersdorf, energy group E.ON and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement were the top three winners, rising 0.88 percent, 0.86 percent and 0.83 percent respectively.

Adidas was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 483.84 million euros (580.22 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
