Chicago agricultural commodities lower in morning trading

CHICAGO, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded lower on Thursday morning, with wheat futures falling as rain fell across part of U.S. plains which will benefits wheat growth conditions.

Investors awaited news from consultation between China and the United States on economic and trade issues.

Trade issues are weighing heavily on the minds of traders and producers as crop planting has advanced swiftly in U.S. Midwest.

July corn was 0.5 cent lower at 4.045 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1350 GMT, July wheat was 4 cents lower at 5.2275 dollars, July soybean was down 3.5 cents at 10.395 dollars.

As for agriculture weather forecasts for international market, there is limited rain in sight for Australian wheat areas with winter grain seeding normally underway.

Black Sea weather forecasts offer modest rain totals for the next 10 days, but temperatures will cool next week. And the winter Brazilian corn areas will be bone dry into mid-May. Enditem
