ISLAMABAD -- At least three people were killed and 13 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a bus in Pakistan's Punjab province on Thursday, local Urdu TV channels reported.

According to the reports, the suicide attacker targeted a bus carrying employees of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) on Basal road near Dhok Gama area in Attock, a city in the province.(Pakistan-Suicide attack)

TOKYO -- Tens of thousands people rallied across Japan on Thursday to protest against Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's attempts to amend the nation's pacifist Constitution as the nation marked its 71st Constitution Memorial Day.

HONG KONG -- Chinese tech giant Xiaomi on Thursday officially submitted its IPO application to Hong Kong exchange with its dual-class shareholding structure.

It has been the first applicant with dual-class shareholding structure since Hong Kong Exchange enacted revised bourse rules on April 30 which allows companies with dual-class shareholding structures and biotech firms with no revenue to apply for listing.(Hong Kong-Xiaomi)

NEW DELHI -- Twenty-seven people died and four injured when the bus they were travelling in turned turtle and caught fire in India's eastern state of Bihar on Thursday, reported leading English daily "The Times of India".

According to the online edition of "The Times of India", the bus was on its route from Muzaffarpur to New Delhi. It turned turtle and caught fire on National High No. 28 near Belwa village under Kotwa police station area of Motihari district of Bihar.(India-Bus fire)

MANILA -- The National Museum of the Philippines announced on Thursday the publication of a study that has established early human presence in the Philippines as long as 709,000 years ago.

"The National Museum takes great pleasure in announcing the publication of the paper Earliest known hominin activity in the Philippines by 709,000 years ago,' in the May 10, 2018 issue of the journal Nature," the national museum said in a post on its Facebook account.(Philippines-Human origin)
