BUJUMBURA, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and four others injured on Tuesday night in a grenade explosion in Burundi's eastern province of Ruyigi, a local official told Xinhua by phone on Wednesday.

The grenade attack targeted the Kabuyenge business center in Gisuru district, killing the four on the spot, and four others were seriously injured, said Aloys Ngenzirabona, administrator of Gisuru district.

The motive behind the grenade attack is still being investigated, said Ngenzirabona.

He said the grenade targeted a kiosk, where most victims were taking drinks. Enditem
